Transmission Problem...? Crap!

Right....

On this subject... Think I've ****ed up!!
As you guys know.. I'm no Mechanic.. But have managed to pull my motor apart to do the 2nd gear mods and Detent spring etc was sitting here all smug thinking what a good job I had done... Was reading manual and came accross a possible error on my part
I'm 80% sure I have put a bush back on the output shaft with the oil holes lined up with the shaft.. Instead of being misaligned..
So. Do I tear the motor all the way down again... Or will one bush not make much difference If... I've lined them up on that one bush?

GUTTED and feeling sick at the thought of tearing it down again... Or possibly damaging motor...
 
Yes your correct but that is not his problem just something else that broke inside the transmission or the output drive is shot the only way to make sure would be to pull the oil sump pan and look for bearing parts in the rear area like below.

I might add pulling the sump and finding this could also mean it is only you out put drive that is bad and grinding no matter what gear she is in. Sump comes off easy you do not even have to pull the kick stand off.
I need some assistance here. I took out the 18 bolts around the oil sump pan, and the longer one towards the center... I'm still feeling resistance... I don't want to break anything. Anyone?

Here is the old style sump in case you have that one. they also made the new style in silver. The red arrows are area that you an pry the sump plate loose with.

I can't thank you enough for your help. I pulled the oil sump pan off today, and I didn't find any metal shavings, however...I did find two washers and a nut and they are located in the same approximate area as in the picture.
I am hoping that this is good news. Does anyone know where these might've came off, and what the fix would be?

That looks like the mainshaft nut off of the clutch hub and the washer, however, I don't believe it could get out of the clutch housing into the sump. The output shaft appears to have a similar nut/washer setup.

It here's no way it could be off the clutch. Thanks.
 
It could be the bold that holds the gear selector, check to see if the shifter is just flopping around.

Dave can you measure across the flats of the nut? I am not sure if it is turned over or not but am curious as to whether the other side has a shoulder diameter for staking. I am looking at a complete output shaft and it does have a nut, C washer, and a flat washer on the end of the shaft which is right above where they are laying in the pan.

Here is a picture and view of the nut and two washers on the out put shaft.

below is a cut away view with a arrow pointed to where it is if you could look up inside your to see if you can see the shaft and if so see if the shaft still has the nut on it?

If you can not tell if you can see it or not I can go install a output shaft in a engine block and put it back together to see if you can. But I must admit it will be quicker if you go have a look see even if you have to raise her up in the air a wee bit more so you can get your head under her if she is not up higher already.

Here is a better picture. I think it is for the output shaft.
If it is, am I still screwed? I'm hoping this means that I'm not looking at several thousand $$.
