transmission noise!!

Ok so I could not get a 16 mm or 5/8" on her so she must be 17 mm which I got the box end on. Reach thru and bend of the wrench face out word.
 
well fred I have pretty much everything out of the middle , battery , battery box one bolt to go the one requiring the rear fender to come off . , I disassembled all the electric screwed on the air box and I am pulling out tomorrow by the same token I am cutting open this plastic box to be used as drawer for stuff.
that big opening then will give the room to reach the nut I could not even see I 'd say your idea for a srewdriver wedge is a good idea but in my case the thing seems so torqued I 'd rather not chance a mistake
yeah I know what you say about the output shaft I just felt good getting all the bolts out except the one by the frame............ you confirm the brass looking nut on the rear of the head (see previous photo ) is the oil pressure sending unit?
I did not remove the battery box. The motor has just enough room to slide past. Just go slow and make sure no wires get trapped.

I had a decent night sleep . will look at how I can get a spanner past the obstacles enroute to the nut and we will see. now how about a picture of you in skivvies wrenching!!

great , one more positive . I also lifted the gas tank and forgot it was full man !!!it is rather heavy I realize I am doing more work than needed but I have a month in front of me to complete the job and not being a pro i probably do work that might not be necessary but my only concern is to make sure I do not lose any bolts or screws as the table I use is getting filled with parts and stuff
The answer to your problem is yoghourt.
I like yoghourt and when I am finished I wash and store the plastic containers. When working on a bike I use different ones for each assembly or area of the bike e.g. all the nuts and bolts for the rear wheel and final drive go in one. When it is time for reassembly you don't mix stuff up. HTH
P.S. strawberry is really good on cereal....:D

Myself I use coffee cans which now days are plastic. Lable the outside with a permanent marker!!!!

you guys are too much . I use large plastic garbage bags and dump everything in there ..............
just pulling your rusty drive shaft , to each his own I tape everything with masking tape and write what they are for or once the part is removed I screw back on the fastener on that piece, and when needed where complication are present I take a picture . so far I have no loose screws nor fasteners lying around .but to keep all odds in my favor I also bend down every day at 5pm facing mecca and pray to Allah ..to keep my work on track . Please mister spy from NSA just kidding!!
 
Ziploc bags and a sharpie...been using that method for years. I label the bags and put everything in a small roll away tool box. Lots of pics...digital cameras make the process a lot easier
