Transmission "clunk".

I do it but i can tell you theres almost none.
Theres your problem, use what Bob r sent you and get it strait. it slso wears on your lifter and lifter piece when too tight. Yours is too tight use a dime and penny

Just want say thanks guys for your guidance. My bike feels like its got a new clutch and transmission. Smooth and no harsh clunks. I think it may have helped with 1st gear popping out too. But we'll see.
 
When you get a chance you really want to measure it. As Americans we don't know much metric other than a gram or 9mm. Measure it once and try to remember what it looks like, I know I was surprised at how out of spec mine was the first time I measured it rather than eyeballing it.

I did. Used a micrometer. Set to 2mm.
