Cruising today finally on my 2011 R3T I just bought with 21k on the clock was even better than expected. Love this cruiser. Although I only rode about 150 miles i was still able to get a good feel for the bike because it was split evenly between the Highway, Twisties and stop and go on Pacific Coast Hwy. My thoughts coming from today's ride are: Power was exceptional for passing on the hwy. 5th gear not needed until 65mph and even then plenty of roll on power. The bike handled very well in the twisties for a beast, in fact incredibly well compared to my last cruiser (Nomad). Brakes are fine but not excellent, I may just have to get used to them. The clutch is very smooth and the torque is crazy fun. I think I took off in 3rd and didn't stall this thing. It has good manners and is relatively quiet with the D&D pipes so I snuck up on other cruiser riders in traffic and most looked at me and their eyes said "What is that?" Not a a lot of R3's here in Southern Ca. The only negative I have to say is the heat on the right side. I might bring a sandwich next time and heat it up on my running board. Anyway, I'm super happy with my new ride and can't wait to take if for a longer ride up the coast later this month.
