Avons last twice as long, and front cups less, I noticed no difference in grip. Profile of Avon turns a little quicker.

have the excedra max for rear (under 150 shipped on amzn) just waiting to get a few more miles from the metz 880; will run the front metz and when that is ready will move to avon cobra

we use the rear METZ for all our dragstrip runs and have run 8 second 1/4 mile times at close to 160 mph so we cant complain

Art you guys need to try an Avon Cobra. The difference is amazing.

Tails just type yer tyre size into google an you'll find plenty of suppliers. Even Exedra max Radials!

I must admit the stickiest tire I have run on my beast has been the Conti Race Attack but it was a 18inch and more of a track tire. Next set will be the commander II front and back to see if it holds up like the advertise.

My Commander II front tire lasted 4000 miles on my R3R.
One tire is NOT a proper base for ignoring - just sayin' . . .

I am sure there will be a difference between you and me considering I can not ride as spirited as you do. Part of it also is because I have a 18 inch rim for the rear I can run both Commander II's together for to see what they feel like. I do like the 140 Avon on the front but prefer the Max and the back. Again its just a matter of how long the rubber chew toy last when increase the warp drive capacity of the OEM engine
