This is the new one.

Sounds like a blast.

It is. Makes a change to be riding a back road and being excited that you've hit some dirt. It handles so well; even had it drifting a little on the gravel. Just love looking in the mirrors and seeing the cloud of dust you just kicked up.

@CanberraR3 it's about time you hooked up that trailer and did a dump run. Scrambler looks like a nice bike. Would it handle all the gear for a 3000k ride +the coffee maker or will you have to keep the R3 for those longer trips?

Always be room for the coffee machine. As for distance, well I did around 250 km on the weekend just having fun and could see myself covering much further. Sits on 120km/h easily and pushed it up to 170km/h just to see what it would do and there was plenty more. Wouldn't be my first choice for 300km but it would do it OK.

What are the front indicators they look good? Might look ok on the Roadster.
I noticed them too.

Pretty solid and easy to fit to the scrambler to existing mounts. You'd need brackets on a Rocket. They're quite bright and very visible.
Although I have an LED flasher unit, when I fitted the rear ones as well they flashed really fast. Instead of adding resisters I solved the problem by stuffing a couple of spare LEDS I had into the inside of the headlight mounts. You can't really see them other than a sort of amber glow eminating from beside the headlight but the blinkers now flash perfectly.
I like them especially because they suit the industrial look of the bike. Some people relocate the reg/rec from under the headlight. I like all the horizontal lines.

BUT there's plenty of other bikes out there and I don't need the world's largest motorcycle or tyre shredding acceleration to get a thrill out of riding. I don't need to prove anything to anyone and I'm up for something different. The Scrambler ticks every box for me - for now anyway.

I'm also keen to hang onto my licence....... ;)

I have been taking the speedmaster out more often than not on trips around town, and have been enjoying the hell out of it. :)

About 15 minutes from my home are some of the best riding roads around as well as a network of fire trails that take you in state forests and nation parks......

Looking like a DAM lotta fun!!!

It is mate. Pictures can't do it justice. Not far from there is a great ride into Honeysuckle Creek. I did that ride with @ozrider last year. It's just a couple of concrete slabs these days but was the site of the space tracking station used for the Apollo moon missions.

i wish offer this candidate as one of those bikes, that provides a grin factor, that is off the charts, even tho you blokes are british iron lovin fools, keep an open mind.
