Hummm, after my accident with the r3 now i am looking to replace it. I love the r3 but do to my wrist injury i dont think i will be able to handle such of big heavy bike. In a perfect world i will get another r3 but passing that thru the wife its almost impossible(atleast for now). I got a few months to decide which bike to get(or if i wanna ride again) but i really like the red thunderbird any suggestions will be appreciated.

I like the T/bird as well, but I don't think there is that much difference in the weight, is there?

The T Bird is still a big bike, if you are a smaller guy a Bonneville may be the answer a lot lighter and a nice ride, just a bit cramped for a bigger rider,

A buddy of mind was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and decided to give up his R3R for a tiger, when I inquired as to why he didn't go with the Thunderbird he claimed during the test ride it felt nearly as heavy as his Rocket.

My suggestion would be to try a couple different models to see which one feels the best

The Bonneville is so slow it will feel like a Honda trail 90 after owning an R3.

I had a new 2010 Scrambler and it was very nice but oh so slow.

Sam:")
