I finally got around to loading Mr. Penner's tune into my '23GT and I gotta say it's IMPRESSIVE. There not just more power everywhere, there's lots more power everywhere in the rev range. Spinning the rear tire is just a quick yank of the fun grip away, no waiting. ME LIKEY!!!

You need to install the DNA air filter as well, gives 30% more air flow (and therefor more fueling), and LOTS more smiles per mile. Unfortunately I fitted the air filter as well as installing Mr Penner's wonderful map at the same time (during a service) and therefore got two lots of jollies at the same time and can't quite attribute how many smiles came from each. Both lots at the same time however create a serious case of "Permagrin" 🤣🤣🤣

Sounds great. I need to put it in my 23 GT. What tune number did you get for yours ?

When you download this tune you may have to search your "parent directory" to locate it and open it in Tuneecu. Note that the base map is 31249 so that should match your ECU.

That is great. Yes it is the tune in my bike too. Did you compair it to a stock version of 31249. If so. What did you find different ?
The stock version is heavily restricted, so any comparison is simply how much more power do you get. If you notice Penner optimized more than just the throttle tables, he also optimized the air/fuel and other tables to get the beast woke up. It does that across the entire rev range in both Road and Sport modes. Rain mode appears unaffected. If you want to the differences by table there is a comparison function in TuneEcu do that. I compared it with the seat of my pants and found it revs faster and pulls harder everywhere. Be aware if you load that tune, you'll need to run a cruise control switch check afterwards to restore cruise control. Basically, you turn the ignition on (fuel pump primes) but don't start the bike. Then sequentially actuate the front brake lever, rear brake pedal, roll throttle full off, pull clutch, and rocker the cruise switches forward and back. The error code (it doesn't throw any DTC but you can see it when you run "tests and adjustments") will clear and cruise is restored. If you don't like the extra 30 or so ponies all across the power band you can always revert back to the stock tune.
