I bought the Toyo T1R 95W 235/50ZR16 from treadepot.com for I think 139.00 plus shipping. Of course since its my 1st darkside excursion I cannot compare the tire to others, but I think I got lucky on the pick (this tire has slightly rounded edges and appears so far to fit nicely). Deep South Cycles in Hattiesburg mounted and balanced for me (after a liability waiver). Since I had other work done on the bike, I'm not sure exactly what their labor charge was for the tire mount specifically, but I can say that they treat me right and I trust their wrenchers (Mark & Scott). Communication is easy cause they are a small shop. Give 'em a call, I think their labor rate is $65/hr (don't hold me to that).

I've got pics in my photo album. Flip it feels fine, not as squirley as others have stated but then again I can't say I've encountered every variable that the road has to offer. I did some highway and some farm to market,across train tracks and my drive way is gravel. I wonder if a lot of it has to do with tread pattern? I did some twisties also but my center stand kept me from pushing it to hard (it's for sale). I have to say that I like it thus far and really like the idea of not thinking about how much rubber did I use today. And Britman was right, it looks oh so cool! It seems like the slightly taller tire lowered my rpm's and launches are harder. The trip to E.S. will probably be the "tell all" but all things being what they seem I can't see going back.

hey missip, glad the deep south boys took care of you. They sure did me right when I got big black from 'em. Tell 'em I'm still grinnin'. I sure miss Hattiesburg, especially in the winter up here. Ya know I never realized brown comes in 20 different shades till I moved back here after being there for awhile. From a green winter to a brown one.. I may sit right here and talk myself into an extra week of vacation. take care. skip

I just got the Potenza RE750 BL 225/55-16 put on the bike and 180 miles later, so far so good.

Did you have any problems at the tire shop getting it mounted?
Did you have to spin them a yarn to avoid any liability issues?

Tony, the tire store that I bought it from could not get the tire broken down so I took it to a place that only works on bikes, does not sell them, and had him mount it. I had him mount the last metz that I mail ordered as my dealer will not put anything on that they do not get to sell. Funny both places "hate" working on the jacked up no lip design of our rear rim. He was not able to balance it because it was to wide for his machine and the place where I bought it said the axle opening was too small for theirs. But even with it not balanced I don't notice any vibration but wonder would there be a difference if it was blanced. Haven't decided on if Mrs. Snuff is coming or not...didn't know how many if any couples would be there, plus a friend of mind just got back from a motorcycle trip in Arkansas and said he felt it was pretty dangerous riding up there like the locals just can't see motorcycle's Are you bringing Mrs. Mac? As far as the liability issue, he just didn't write me a receit. Also I find that 1st through 3rd gear wheelies are much easier and I don't have to use the kick stand anymore due to the wide flat bottom

Theres an airport about 30 miles or so from ES (NW Arkansas regional airport XNA)that has a direct flight from/to Detroit.
My wife's neck problem has improved but she still ain't get ready for 850 mile each way motorcycle trip so at the moment I'm planning on checking in and dropping my gear off at the Riders Rest Motel then collecting her from the airport on Friday afternoon and doing the opposite on Sunday to get her home.
Hopefully I'll be back in Michigan by Monday evening to prepare for heading out to Europe on Thursday 11th.
Looking forward to catching up with you

That's a little wide for my liking My audio cords fell victim to the dark side, I'll have to find somewhere else to mount them...**** it! I had them coming through the front of the rear fender and mounted to the black plastic just in front of the shock. The tire being a little taller made short work of them. It's one of those things that I told myself would be okay, with the little voice in the back of my head telling me "better move them". So I'll order some more cords and find another place to mount them.
