Splitting the cases

Got all the bolts out and can see light all the way around between the halves but cannot get them split at the back. Almost as if the stator is interfering. Any suggestions?

Stator has to come off. It has bolts going into each half.

I have an industrial strength gear puller on it now. I've got it cranked down soooo freakin tight and it won't budge.

I hope your not pulling on it from the O.D. . You also have to be careful smacking the center bolt of the puller.
Shock can mess up the magnets. Mine came right off with the correct puller.

NO use the proper puller so you dont damage anything
