Side Panel

I lost the side panel on the right side when sitting on my 2011 touring.. It fell off going down the highway. Does anyone have one they want to sell? Or know of any aftermarket ones??? or where get one at a good price. Seems way to costly from dealer....

your best bet is to check ebay and pinwall cycle also on ebay

Yup, those side panels on the R3T come off way too easy. I lost one last year and paid something like $300 to replace it. You may find one on Ebay if you're patient, but they're not easy to find.

Pisses me off as this is a brand new bike less that a year old and panels just fall off going down the road... Never had this problem with my 09...

Had you taken the side panel off earlier? If so, you probably missed getting one of the connectors firmly into the grommet.

If not, its likely the grommet came out. If the rubber grommet is also missing, that's probably what happened. Make sure you order new grommets as they don't come with the side panels.

i have recently seen the side panels in ebay, like a day or two ago, check in there.

I'm constantly removing V-Rod emblems from the air cleaner box.

I have taken the panels off in the past to install the alarm system I have. But that was almost a year ago when I got the bike. I did find one of the grommets had come loose from the frame so I figure that is what happened...

I have an idea on how to keep the panels on so they don't fall off again. I am going to try it this afternoon and will keep you guys posted.
