Roadster accessories market seems to be pretty thin right now. What are some of options for saddlebags besides dealer's $800 leather bags?

Thanks,
Dennis

I haven't had my Rocket Standard next to a Roadster, but I believe they are the same bike for the most part. I have Leatherlyke bags. They are not the prettiest in the world, but they price is right, and they can be removed or put on in seconds with a couple of clips. They are also tough and can be sat just about anywhere when off the bike with no worry of them being scratched or damaged..

I'm getting good use out of my K-Drives. They were reasonable and work well, I just wish I would have gotten the larger ones with the locking lids.
They lock to the bike, come off easily and the bracket looks good with the bags off.
My avatar shows the bracket with the bags off.

Thanks for the leads -- I was not familiar with either Leatherlyke or K-drives, but will check them out now!. Love the way the bike looks bagless, so definitely want something that can come off easily. I suppose a sissy bar trunk like nelsojn riggs is another option. I got so used to the nice expanding side cases on my r1200gs -- they could swallow a full face helmet and then some.

Thanks,
DC

I bought a Classis with Triumph bags and installed the Leatherlyke Trunk. Holds lots of stuff. One helmet inclosed if you want. Comes with two hooks on back just under lid to hook helmets.
I added a light bar to supplement the braking and running lights for those cagers behind us. :p
Cheers

Chrispy, tell me about those passenger boards .... are you using a relocation bracket with them? I was considering boards for the wife and thought about moving them forward. I"ve seen the brackets that move them forward and wondered if they clear the chrome where the stock pegs go. Is there some kind of extension that moves it outwards so it doesn't mash the chrome cover?

Just bought a set of those $800.00 Triumph bags for $486.00 on Ebay. There are others listed now for 390.00 but they go up higher. You can get a deal if you watch.

I saw those too. My only problem with factory bags is that they are bolt-on, and not easy-off. I got my short sissy bar and rack from Destiny Motorcycles yesterday, and I think I will just use a sissy bar pack until I figure out the bags or something new comes along.
