The bearclaw was removed in that picture. The bearclaw will still work and cover the metal air box. That's how I run it. Those pics were taken by walter, the original owner of the bike. It's changed a bit since then.
I was originally concerned about the location of the filter, but after 6000 miles and several hours riding in the rain; I've had no problems and am no longer concerned. Runs best in the cold rain anyways.
The bike can look completely stock with this kit installed, except for the missing exhaust on the left side.
You get a nice little 50hp kick in the ass and you don't mess up the looks with a bunch of plumbing.
My gas mileage is about the same as any stock rocket. 30 - 34 mpg.
