Rocket III touring latch trouble

But what you described i did actually have happen to mine , i took the latches off and re fitted them , there seemed to be something stuck in them , no probs since , , i concur with the others , these panniers are excellent , i've travelled 8-10 hrs in thunderstorms , , and done it again the next day without any thing getting wet ,

I do agree they could be a little bigger , , then i could fit in a litlle blond , buxom midget , to keep me company .:D

Help! Just purchased 2008 R3 touring with hard bags and I'm have a heck of. A time getting in had both open once, now latches will not release. Anybody got a tip or trick? They are unlocked and the bottom will depress til flat with top, but not opening. Help plz.
Mine is difficult to unlatch when I have items in it, I lean my leg against the side ,hit the button and it pops up, not the most convenient, but I almost don't want to adjust it,NO water ever gets inside it.

It's a shame "TLC Products" ceased existing. I use my liners for the bags on every trip and they're great. I don't know if anyone else is doing liners for these? I don't need more but it seriously helps to have some. But I guess if the owner of the company gets a stroke, bad things happen.

I have the same problem. When it gets stuck, I put the key in the lock and twist which causes lock to release from stuck position. I am planning to disassemble, lubricate and reinstall soon.

Had a couple of sets of liners from TLC - didn't know they were no longer trading. All the best to the owner if it was medical related; still using the liners and rate them well.

I took my lock out and cleaned it. There is a small hole in bottom of lock that had gotten dirt and grit in it, I took silcon spray and sprayed in the hole and now works great.

Another thing about the bags aside from being a touch small is the quick release mechanism requires a screw driver to turn while most comparable bikes have a wire handle to turn them. Small but an oversight none the less.
