I have an open face Arai, it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. The down side is I still look like I'm about to get fired out of a cannon

I was wearing a GIVI demi jet when I went over the cliff. I landed face down, and the shield did it's job. It broke off, but kept me from having any worse than a cracked eye socket. I could certainly have rearranged my face completely otherwise. A half shield does help.
 
Everything helps a bit. But more things help more.
