It does seem that despite the arguments and apart from the maths , out of the hundreds of bikes I have owned and run over the years , the Triumph being the most modern of them , does seem to need the most nursing through the box !
Even if you came from another planet and we're never aware of any gearbox issues , it would soon become apparent after spending time with the Rocket that the bike is sensitive to engine speed , clutch and timing when shifting . The gearbox does let you know if you get these things wrong and you can definately feel it through your toe ! When you get it right , you are rewarded with a smooth shift and transition if power . A far cry from the sync mesh of modern rice burners for sure !
