after turning in the car to a mechanic because of a noise the penguin went for a stroll bought himself an ice cream and came back to inquire about his car the mechanic told him " YOU BLEW A SEAL" to which the penguin replied " No NO WHAT YOU SEE IS VANILLA ICE CREAM

Maybe. Plus the poor lady has been shipped a lot. From Colorado to Germany to Hawaii. Rode pretty hard in Germany, and the roads suck in Hawaii.

If it was tied down on the front suspension under compression without a Y yoke that would explain it as it is known to blow and damage seals.

I just went to the 'Suspension Smith' (Laurie) here in Fyshwick, Canberra, Australia this morning expecting to get my Progressive fork springs, Alls Balls fork oil and dust caps fitted today Saturday. It looks like it will take longer than a 3 hour morning to sort out as I expected, so it will be going in Monday, so I can enjoy the finally superb autumn weather here over the week end.

I bought the 2010 Roadster a few weeks ago with 60,000 km and they a not leaking but will change seals with the springs as fork oil is service scheduled for a change at 60,000 km anyway. Laurie said the fork caps did not look like they had been removed before and said emulators are a good idea if a damping rod setup and not a cartridge insert setup when a Race-Tech Gold Line valve set up is a good fit. (I have a Race-Tech Gold Line rebound valve setup on my Showa cartridge in the Sprint ST 1050 with Race-Tech single rate springs which feels great).

I checked my .pdf Triumph workshop manual and it does appear the Rockets are a damping rod setup. Laurie said although Wilbers progressive fork springs recommend 10w oil and a different 110 mm air gap versus spec SAE 5w (Kayaba KHL15-10 cSt @ 40C 15.3 ), Oil Level (fork fully compressed) 89 mm, he advises against increasing the oil weight and said he can improve even without emulators by welding up the large diameter holes in the damping rod and leaving or adding small diameter holes instead which would work well with the lighter 5w oil. Laurie commented that the Progressive fork springs appear to have only a few inches of closely bound lighter rate spring when free that are likely to be fixed after install anyway leaving a virtual fixed rate spring for the main. He prefers fixed rate springs so it all looks good. I have since found this which helps explain what he may do. Damping Rod Forks

I had checked the Progressive harder spring rate spec which is what was recommended by Race-Tech or very close for my large lump 150kg (330lb) weight in riding gear in a single rate spring.

Ever find a pearl, a whole necklace or just the broken string? When they are really fresh/alive a squeeze of lemon makes them wriggle.

I sort of prefer mussels except for the beards.
Over the years I've found a few, none were worth keeping. The oysters we eat don't produce the quality of pearls for a necklace.
