Just entered my VIN # on Triumph's web site for new 08 Rocket III Touring. "There are outstanding service bulletins or recalls on your bike" was the response I got. Beside the tire info, which I thank you all for pointing out, how many more issues are there? Are they that extensive that Triumph doesn't list them? My instructions were to contact the dealer immediately. (I am new here to this site, so if this thread previously exists, could someone tell me where to find it?) Already had a panel blow off on me...can't wait for what is next.

Just checked with my VIN and found that there is something outstanding with my R3T as well. As mine is already with the bike shop for warranty clutch repairs, I sent them an email and asked that they carry out any outstanding work required.

I will ring them after Easter...

Thanks for the info...

My R3T is currently in for clutch repairs (4200kms) ooooh!!!

I told the dealer about the recall noted on the Triumph Australia site and they said they will look at it but know nothing about the tyres. I wanted to call Triumph Australia, but they don't have a phone number for customers, only a number for dealers (I can understand that!)

I'll keep you informed with the progress, please do the same.

I would say the 90 are the entire sales in Oz, mine comes up with the recall to

If it was me I'd use this as an opportunity to shoot the World's Longest R3T burnout video ever on You Tube. The day before my dealer called me and told me the tires were in to replace under warranty. Heck would even do it in the dealer parking lot, they might enjoy the show.

The bike developed a strange noise on the way back from Phillip Island SBK. Happened at about the 4000k point. The noise sounded like a washer rattling on a shaft and occurred between 80k and 100k in top gear and at lower speeds in lower gears. When I took up the tension with the clutch lever the noise went away.

I put it in to the dealer to check it out and they told me there was a problem and they will have to pull it down and find out whats happening. They dismantled it last Tuesday and I have not heard from them to date. I guess they will let me know what the problem was.

So it's back to riding the trusty old 97 valk tourer now.
