Quick question for the team. How does one remove the rear brake light lens on a 11 R3T? Do I have to unbolt the whole assembly from under the fender or does the lens pop off? The lens doesn't seem to have any play so I am guessing I have to unbolt it.
That makes two of us. Mostly for cleaning purposes, around the rubber grommet. I did remove it and see that it is a molded assembly glued together, my goal was achieved, got it all cleaned underneath.
On mine (2009 standard) it most certainly was not. The lens was well and truly glued.
Maybe roadsters are different - if so that's a plus.
Un-glueing requires immersion in "close to boiling" water and a lot of gentle persuasion with a wide but thin probe.
The light unit itself is held on by three M6 bolts.
