Ramair water ingress?

Impossible to ingest enough water to do any sort of damage through a RAMIAR if a bearclaw is fitted.

I've run this for over an hour, no claw no prefilter, in torrential downpours with no ill effect (in fact it was raining when I took that picture):

For me that is amazing, I thought for definite it could possibly get water into it even with the bearclaw. The replies in this thread and particularly yours and that picture have taken any concerns I had and thrown them out the wondow. Thanks

Ordered the Ramair and will fit it next week.
I have ridden 5 hours stopping only for fuel in a full blown thunderstorm. Water found it's way into goretex boots - the empty OEM filter box under the seat - and into supposedly waterproof cases. Engine never missed a beat. Ramair under the open fronted OZ-claw.

Don't forget the foam is covered in a sticky water repelling goo (it's not oil) so the water never really gets into the foam - it pearls off. And Water injection has long been a way to improve performance on hot running engines.
