Glacier Park and the Going to the sun road is just a so-so, IMHO.
Beautiful road scenery ruined by way too many cages and peeps!
Kinda like jellystone . . .
The roads we shall ride at RAA West are way better, more fun and better scenery.
Boys & Girls,
I have finally spent some time on routes for our RAA West 2018.
We begin @Bob R place in Medical Lake, WA (very near Spokane). We end @1olbull place in Tacoma, WA.
DAY 5 & 6 is the Loop. A terrific scenic ride around the WA peninsula. Hood Canal, Pt. Townsend, Hurricane Ridge then night at Forks, WA.
The Hoh Rain Forrest, 101 along the Pacific Ocean to Ocean Shores and then back to Tacoma for our final night (520 miles in 2 days). https://www.google.com/maps/dir/808...1e57c64b!2m2!1d-122.507601!2d47.23223!3e0!4e1
@Claviger Rob,
All is the same EXCEPT we meet up for the night of the 15th in Clarkston.
This was necessary to keep the mileage manageable for the first day ride, which shall end in Baker City Oregon for the night of the 16th.
Interestingly to me, I cycled off of the Lyrica I was taking during RAA West as a test, to see just how much it helped me get through the ride.
Huge change! The back is all pissed off again lol. So on it I can tolerate riding a sportbike day after day, off it, I can barely tolerate being vertical.
Guess WHOS going back on it Asap.
Shocking how much benefit I get from a non narcotic drug that’s allegedly not intended for pain management.
