It should the part number for the longhaul touring seat is
A9700209 and those wont fit on a standard or classic
I would check my seat number for ya as i have the longhaul seat on my standard but bike is home as its raining today
Thanks for that, the guy who is selling it has confirmed that this is the number displayed underneath the seat, it also comes with the backrest which is really the item I want
I love mine
Ive tried the gel seat and it was to hot and the stock was to uncomfortable on long rides then i got the longhaul with backrest and now i can ride all day and my arms arnt getting longer anymore cus you dont have to hang on as hard due to the backrest it makes a world of difference im sure you will like it
Let's hope it's the right one that will fit my bike, I find the riding position totally screws my back up so much so I cannot even get on the bike - something has to be done - I didn't want to play around with rearsets etc as I want to keep the bike as standard as possible - your comments certainly confirm that the back rest is the way forward.
I am just worried that the one I am looking at may not fit as we are in the States on vacation at the moment and the guy who is selling it is back in England
I have the triumph classic seat with Utopia backrest. Its alot better but Triumphs idea of a seat for the R3 is an absolute joke. I am so pissed of I am thinking of getting a different bike. The ergo's are just wrong for the average guy.
O
I use the standard Classic dual seat (have 2 - one with, one without backrest). I reckon it's the most comfortable bike seat I've owned. The backrest has been a revalation. 3 hours without a break, no problem - and then it's time to refuel anyway. Pillion seat gets hi praise too from she whose opinion matters.
