So I have finally found some time to try loading a tune @HansO sent me a few weeks ago and here is the question.

Should the map name in the ecu have changed? It appears the values in the table have changed, but the name has not.

Old tune - 20773
New tune - 20776 Hanso 3rd gen something something something (it's on a different computer)

Process...
1. Cable to bike
2. Cable to laptop
3. Key on, kill switch in start position
4. Fire up TuneECU
5. Let laptop and ecu connect - green light in right bottom corner of TuneECU
6. Read map - successful in about 2 minnutes
7. Save map
8. Open map
9. Choose the HansO tune
10. Download
11. Wait like 20 seconds - it went fast!
12. Reset Adaptives
13. Disconnect TuneECU
14. Pull cable from laptop
15. Close TunECU
16. Recconect cable to laptop
17. Restart TuneECU
18. Let it connect...blah blah blah
19. Read Map
20. ???? 20773? I just downloaded 20776 HansO tune WTF?
21. Look at table - notice new values

I have let it run the 12 minute tune. Have not taken it for a ride yet.

Is it functioning as norm or should the map name have changed in the ecu?

Ok, so what I should have thought about before anything else.

I opened the map without being connected to the bike and it shows as 20773 and has @HansO's edits.

So, In the end, I think I am good

The name alone is no bother. It was the combination of the name and the quickness that it all happened.

I've seen multiple threads saying it can take a long time to read and download maps. It literally took less that 5 minutes to read map, save map, download new map, notice the name thing, and then download the map 1 more time to be sure it wasn't a fluke.

It only takes a while if all values and parameters are different. If only fuel both F and L tables, some timing are changed it will overlay fast. The only thing I did not see in your steps is after reseting adaptives is cycle key off for say 5 seconds then turn back on and then either ride her or the 12 minute tune.

I did let it run the 12 minutes, but not sure I switched the key off before hand. I'll reset again just to cover the bases.

Thanks all

Sorry Ol buddy I should have told you to ignore that (20773) I was actually using a 20773 base map and renamed it 20776 (which is the TORS version) after I had specced it up to Tors values and then added some tweaks
Please except my apologies
Cheers
Hans
