Hi folks, needing some help with info about sourcing progressive shocks in the UK for my 2013 R3 Roadster. Love the bike, makes me grin from ear-to-ear when I'm riding, but I find the ride somewhat harsh at times. I'm no lightweight (21 stone / 294lbs / 133 kg of "big bones") and I'm looking for any info on which units would be best to replace the stock shocks on my R3, & where might I buy said shocks in the UK. I can find people selling them for models up to 2010, but not after.

I've searched the forum here & can't find anything definitive, so, any help would be gratefully received!

As both a Progressive and Hagon dealer. May I suggest that you contact Hagon UK, and purchase a set of their Nitro shocks. Here in the USA, the Hagons cost less, and are considerably better shocks, with much longer life from the seals.

Many thanks for that info mate, just gave Hagon a ring, very helpful chap, looks like exactly what I'll be after!!

Jabs,
You and I are about the same size and I find the ride to be a lttle rough as well, even with the comfort shocks that come on the 13s. Not terrible, but a little unsettled and uncomfortable on the washboard roads we have around here.

Power Tripp,
Thanks for the follow-up. Looks like I'll be ordering Hagons.
Just need my bonus check from work, and I'll be calling... :)

WHAT POWER-TRIPP SAID . . . in spades!
I have had both brands.

Just one thought,
I have ground off all the feelers and about 30° off the end of my pegs.
If you ride hard, you might wish to consider slightly longer than stock length.
I wish I had went about 12mm over on mine.

I've got a set of Gazi's for sale .. one inch longer than stock. Sprung and valved to suit a rider heavier than my 98 kilos... suit you fellas. Let me know if either of you blokes are interested ;)

The Hagon Nitros are built to order and riders spec.....I went to Hagon last week as they are just down the road from me,I have just fitted a set of black Nitros to my bike......I am still setting them up so can't comment on the overall experience yet.

+1 on the Hagon Nitros, completely transformed the bike! Now to find something affordable better than the Progressive front springs.

Please let me know what that would be.
I wish to improve the front dive and would prefer something better than the Progressive - if possible.

I got a pair of Progressive rear shocks made up for my 2013 Roadster in black by Bike Revival in the UK, Shock Absorbers For Motorcycles
They take all your details then make up a pair to suite your weight and the bikes.
