As far as the seat I have a russell day long saddle and it made all the difference in the world.

So it looks what you have done is exactly what I am looking for an turned out amazing. Now I have absolutely no mechanical know-how or access to any equipment. What is a realistic expectation of cost for a shop to do this? My budget would be around 1000$ tops, am I dreaming or is this possible?

I had put standard pedals rails on my roadster ( 1 am 6 feet 9 inches tall) and I am
very happy with them . But confort is conditionned too by shocks absorbers and seat .
A new seat is awfully expensive . Most rocket men , here in France , find it is smarter
to go to a kraftworkman to put more foam in the seat and can make a personnalized
cover . And it is half price of a classic Triumph seat who by the way is not so confortable !
