Paul Bryant Viking 3-into-1 header, plus Dain's single muffler = beautiful

Very sweet lookin' R3T, Paul!
I like the white paint job on your driveway as well! :p

I had previously installed Dain's muffler, eliminating the cross-over and one pipe.

Yesterday, Paul Bryant's 3-into-1 header showed up in the mail, along with the special clamp that allows to retain the chrome cover.

I did the "12 minute tune".

This morning, I rode the bike to the local shop for annual inspection.

The new sound is just what I was seeking !

Dain's exhaust with the stock header was a bit much.

As another poster noted, the addition of Paul Bryant's header noticeably reduced the bark, leaving the nice "I am 2300 cc's -- notice me" sound.

Thank you both ! @Paul Bryant @Dain

That looks great Paul, but to me that heat shield/cover doesn't look to be sitting right, I'll converse privately with you on this.
Re running quieter, that is interesting, maybe it's because the header is simply far more free flowing than the stock unit ???

Ok, so to add others into the mix here...

Is the Viking header quieter with all mufflers than the stock manifold or is it just weird Viking/Dain combo that does it?

I like the look of the Viking header with that Rinehart muffler that is posted occasionally, but I don't want to "limit" the sound output.

This is my Header with the Rinehart muffler.

SWEET clean looking system!
I would prefer the muffler be down around the axle for more pannier clearance. :inlove

How does one choose a Rinehart exhaust besides exhaust color or end cap cut or end cap color? Rinehart doesn't provide information on exhaust inlet sizes or are they all the same size? All I see is for Harley, Trike, and Indian.

I've not figured this out yet myself. It sorta looks like the Indian Mid Size slip on.

Thank you !

In a different time -- in a different life -- I would have been a Carpenter or TTS or Lush customer.

Alas, the best I can do now is enjoy all the wonderful Rockets and their Captains vicariously, and on the road, enjoy my de-restricted Touring, which does quite well for itself, thank you.

:D
HEY JOE wow what a list of aftermarket goodies thats cool that you outfit your ROCKET with all those add ons

Mully, Rinehart only supplies complete systems for Harleys.
John had to buy a complete 2 into 1 system for a Harley to get just the muffler, he then on sold the header.
I'm in the process of doing the tooling to produce a muffler like this so this will be an option in the (near) future.
