I had this problem on my 2008 standard. It was fairly common and known by my very experienced Triumph dealer who fixed it.
Don't let your dealer's lack of experience deter you. Make them fix it under warranty, or find antoher dealer that has a clue.
They should be able to look up past service bulletins on the subject.
