OBD2 rev counter ?

I have a Tourer and have been looking for a rev counter ,i have posted about it on here before and the latest suggestion was use a
Garmin ECO Route HD Nuvi which i have looked at and found will cost about £150 +

I just had the bike MOTed and the guy there said he used a blue tooth OBD2 with a android tablet to check engine info on his race car.So after some time on ebay i have found that i can get setup for £20 as i have an android phone and 7in tablet .

Now this is not proven yet but just wanted to put it out there so others would know
 
That sounds like a good buy. I had another idea for you touring fellers. Powercommander dash. you can have a tack plus monitor A/F ratio and a few other things. Hooked up with a PCV you can actually make fueling changes on the fly. This could help you really get the cruise areas fuel mileage down to the knats arse.
 
Very interested. The ECORoute uses OBD2 so I see no reason why just about any dongle should work........There are apps out there to read. Im gonna start researching as this would be pretty cool for the scoot.

Thats what it does now just have to wait for the ODB" unit to come for ebay and will give it a try hope there is a link in the ECU for a rev counter as R3T does not have one

Hayabusa, If by rev counter you mean a rpm readout then yes , the ECU has rpm readout.
I have it in my Ecoroute.

I put the SCANGAUGE on my touring and have been satisfied with it. Simple plug-n-play into the 16pin OBD adapter. You can also read/display any 4 parameters (your choice), read and clear codes and set up for trip computer. The update rate is not as quick as with a traditional tach, but I'm used to it now.
