New Shift Pedals Anyone?

Posting to gauge interest in billet CNC foot controls. Here is the shift side pedal.

The large circle where it mounts is sized for a brass bushing 12mm id/15mm od/16mm wide bushing.
Shift peg hole is for a M8 mount using a nut on the back so as to avoid threading into ALU.
The shift linkage hole up top is intended for an improvement over stock using an M8 Heim Joint, inserts, and a M6 bolt to mount it all up.

Going to get this priced out from billet 6061, and then get a price on getting them anodized.

I would rather see one that fits at the spline and is made to the perfect length position.

I could get into something like that also. Knowing of course it would be old Suzuki Katana style and the gear actuation in reversed... 1up 5 down

Doing the spline thing is easy, just turns it into a GP shift pattern on a Roadster.

The intent is mostly visual, to have something not seen on every bike, but it should also be significantly lighter than stock as well as a improvement in the linkage joint quality using Teflon coated heim joints instead of ball and sock with grease in it.

Brake side will be super easy, just need to draw it up tomorrow. I'll see if I can get a quote this week from a few different low volume places. Obviously I need to get one all built and validated, and barring any complications maybe I'll order 100 sets of components for those interested.

I guess we need to determine location of shift peg...

If the shift peg is between the spindle and the stock roadster foot peg, the shift pattern will be reversed
If the peg is in front of the spindle, the pattern will stay the same.

I wear a size 14-15 motorcycle boot and could not shift the bike with the roadster stock foot peg location if the shift peg is in front of the spindle.

I did it on my Roadster and it's working great.
I used a Thunderbird lever. May work with OEM pegs by just lowering a few inches . . . I don't know for sure as I made the change after I had my boards in place.
A different lever design may be necessary for use with the OEM pegs.
In either regard, the shift pattern remains the same.

Different design needed for OEM pegs than for boards, but the shift pattern remains the same.

That absolutely works, peg in front of shifter, pattern stays the same. No arguments there. But you do not have stock roadster foot peg location. Requiring much more work and cost than just the shifter replacement.
