melted 30 amp fuse

where are you pulling key power for the relay on your pc-8?

hellfire - the pc-8 has a 5 switched & 3 constant power connections that are each individually fused. comes in handy so you don't have as many wires running to the battery.

I mean the key on power to activate the relay for the pc-8.
But the main power feed is coming right off the positive battery terminal, right?
You don't have the big thick positive wire from the PC8 hooked up to somewhere else do you?

im getting power to my ignition switche from an unswitched terminal on the pc-8, now to get power to my switched terminals that would go hot when i hit my ignition toggle is from a yellow wire running above my ECU under the right side cover , i used the posi-tap that came with the fuse panel to conect to yellow wire that goes hot when i turn on the ignition

no, it's a 16-18 awg wire to feed the relay on/off power. the main pos.neg comes from the battery, and would supply power to the lights. the only part of that circuit which would tie to the main fusebox it the key on power turning on the relay.

that yellow wire feeds your running , tag, and position lights.

well now all i have on a switched terminal is my aux running lights, the position lights no longer conected.

how are your green, blue w/ yellow, & red w/ orange wires on the oem fusebox? hot, high current, anything?

the only thing i have hooked to battery now is headlight relays and fuse panel, now i do have the low beam cut off switch. I crank up the bike with headlights off everything is good , reach over turn the headlights on the wires start getting hot again turn off headlights they cool off, has anyone had this problem?

did you test this on high beam too?
if so, did the wires get hot?
