i am talking about the air temperature sensor only that fits the connector in this picture
checking the air temperature sensor the best to worst ways
1st my way lol
do not touch it unless it has a code set in the ecu
if it has set a code then you find out what that code means then you start to check in to the problem. and rest assured if there is a problem it will set a code.
if you have the sensor in hand you can check resistance ohms reading depends on temperature
2nd the way others check it out
3rd triumph manual
they to say read the codes and if it has a code check it at the ecu connector and ohm it (OMG)
4th what ever you are doing (OMG)
