Bloody hell what a bike , when i first had my rocket and joined the forum i was asked my comparison on the r3t and the valkyrie i had owned. At that time i was unable to decide . As time and the miles went by the r3t has grown on me till i would say its the better of the two. Just fitted the gipro and now there is no way i would put the valkyrie in the same league , im blown away . Now its the bike it should have been and more, im in love.
Thanks to all who have put help on the forum on fitting the gipro.
okay, so can anyone recommend where to get the gipro? i saw them in ebay but wasn't sure if there was a better source for them. i have to do a search to find out how much is involved with installing it.
emwolb i also had mine from a company on ebay at a competitive price. Read all you can on here but dont be put off its very easy to do , if i can do it anyone can . Really a must for do , and a lot of bang for your buck as you say in the USA. Give me a PM if you need any help fitting but theres plenty guys on here will advise you.
The unit will come with instructions specific to the rocket....only it hasnt been updated for the R3T the last I checked. The Touring has a 3 wire connection for the gear sensor and the standard/classic has a 2 wire connection. Direction are pretty straight forward.
The plug is behind the left side panel next to the oil tank (most people put a 12v socket here). its the only 3 wire connection in there so shouldnt be too hard to find. Next you have to remove the wires from the connector.
