Is this the restriction symptom

If you look at the dyno chart for a stock Rocket you will see the HP and torque curves drop off a higher rpms and it doesn't really pay to run the engine to redline.

My Derestricted R3T makes power all the way to 6000revs, torque drops off at 3500
Max HP 124.66 Max Torque 141.52lb-ft. a nice improvement from a stock tourer

I spend so little time over 3,500RPM that all those extra horsies would just be standing around the paddock most of the day.

I used to short-shift at about 3000, that was nice and quick and the bike felt happier, primarily because it just stopped revving or doing much anything at 4000. Of course now that it revs to 6k eagerly, I'm constantly in third gear and cranking the throttle... the tune itself is fine, fuel use wise, but my riding style went to hell. But I'm having fun...

If I just change the face on my Tac it won't redline at 6500 anymore, right ;)
I find the afterburner around 4500-5500 very exhilarating!
