Info for US riders planning on going to RDU

Joey .. depends on where you actually are in Australia .. the countryside is very different. Bit like you guys we've got everything from vast deserts to snow capped mountains. A bloke could spend his whole life looking around Australia and still not see everything. Real pity that you're not in a position to visit here.

I Guess you are right T/C...

I have had the opportunity to travel all over the main land USA. This is a vast and beautiful country here and it has a huge diversity of landscapes.

Just a very small amount of bad places are here and all are in the major cities that has lost most of it's industrial business that has moved to other areas or countries. That is where the poor and drugs has taken over there and killing is a daily thing.

As far as getting to see your beautiful country....I stand a snow balls chance in Hell---o. But if I had a chance to see Ayers Rock, the Gold bearing Salt Flats...I love looking for Gold...it is one of my other hobby's...I need to show ya'll a pic of some of the Gold I have found......Getting to dang old to do much of that anymore..Getting old sucks

Yep....I would love to go there and spend 3 months riding my Rocket as far as I possible could. I might win the lottery..

Lupe....You Rich fibbing rascal....You know every time you lie on yourself....your nose gets longer and something else gets shorter....You and Tex has all the money among this group here:p

Rich is just a state of mind...I simply refuse to arrive at the end of my life looking back at all the $hit I wish I'd done
That's how I live, got no kids to leave anything, got bugger all in the bank just keep enough to cover bills other than that live life to the fullest. "live for today, tomorrow may never come"

I do have kids and I tell them regularly that I'm spending their inheritance :D

Truthfully though...I got each of them through university and kick started in life...the rest is up to them. The grand kids now that's a different story :D. I spoil the $hit out of them, load them up on sugar and caffeine then send them home to their parents and laugh my @ss off.

OK I have wasted an hour on several shipping sites and cannot get an idea of shipping costs.
I read from R3Tex the paperwork crap is a few hundred; but, what is the approximate cost of shipping to Brisbane and back from west coast USA?
Just want an idea so I can either quit my OZ fantasy or move forward with plans.

PS; if I do come unda, I shall require at least one rider in front of me since I am left handed and know a left hand world will f*ck me up - heh heh heh

I sent an email off to a guy I know in the global freight business, Hi s response below.

Yes a Carnet is the way to go if the Bikes are going back, there is a cost for this in the USA, I believe it has to be arranged through the Chamber of Commerce, but a good Forwarding Agent can do all that.
Costs will vary between Air and Sea, what do your guys want to do?
The Bikes should be crated or palletised for handling and security and be squeaky clean.
There can be a bit of drama getting all this done, and I don’t recommend trying to do it without the assistance of quality Forwarders / Customs Brokers.
