Post deleted. My sincerest apologies to Rocket Scientist and anybody else I offended. I thought it was just some photo that was pulled off of the web. I feel absolutely horrible right now. I'd rather wreck another Rocket on a test ride (see the first thread I started) then to do something as brainless and thoughtless as what I just did. The offense was 100% unintentional. I'm asking for forgiveness from all of you especially from Rocket Scientist.

I came to this thread with my guns drawn ready to defend my good friends Fred (Rocket Scientist) and TOW (Melissa) against a prick, i found a man apologizing for a sincere mistake from which i'm sure he learned a lot, like the rest of the gang said, we are a very tight group and know 90% of the members in person and get together at least twice a year, we feel very strongly about each other and will defend each other till the end. I have had the privilege to ride countless hours with Melissa and Fred from NC to Texas to Colorado and had them as guests in my house so you can only imagine the agravation with your post, you are trying to make it right and for that i think you are a good man. Your apology says a lot about you.

Thanks mexican and yes I did learn alot. I've just spent the last two hours trying to clean up this mess from my careless stupidity. I did send a private message apologizing to both Fred and his wife. I'm sure she is a very lovely woman and I feel awful about what I said. We can all have bad hair (or should I say bad picture) days. This has definitely been one of mine! Even if the picture had been of people that nobody here knew (what I truly thought) I still shouldn't have made the comment. Again, lesson learned.

Hopefully none of you will hold this against me. I love this forum (have said so in many of my posts) have learned a lot here, enjoy helping others with questions/problems and have been looking forward to meeting up with those of you in the great Pacific NW for a ride whenever that my transpire. Gonna go check the mirror now and see how much egg is left on my face.

If the day comes that you have to buy a Roadster, Fred, you could always pull off all the bits on your bike that you want to keep - those that would fit onto a Roadster - including the tins, and swap them over to the new bike. Then the 'old' bike you'd be selling would have plenty of new bits on it and look pretty much like a Roadster, except for the forks I guess. Just a thought.

I really like how black engines set off the chrome valve cover and vicey versey.

THEY need to offer more models and paint choices etc I dont understand why they dont get with the program

The chrome with the black engine didn't really work for me especially the radiator grill, it didn't take long to remove the parts and I think the bike looks a little less 'retro' blacked out. I really like the radiator blending in. The black paint is like camoflage.
