I wish Triumph would build a Rocket III standard again

Agree with you Fred .. the older silver engine models with the choice of paintjobs would be a good move by Triumph .. but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen though.
I like the paintjob idea but never been a fan of the sliver engines they look dated to me but there is obviously quite a few who disagree with me so why not offer it asan ooption if people want it. I think they should offer a supercharged model too

I prefer the riding position of the Roadster...is it just me or does the Standard feel more solid and those 3 tail pipes were unique

Obviously. Heat is energy. Black motors radiate it outwards to the atmosphere, where it is wasted. Silver keeps the energy in and more is thus available for power.

Simple enough.
WELL RUZZ they paint enines flat black to keep then cooler

The point about peg position, borne out in just a few posts above, is that we all have our own preferences. Should have been accommodated and couldn't have hard to do given a). 2 different set-ups already available but not offered as a choice and b). they're on ***ing rails; why weld them in one spot? That's it. If either of these was available I might have a Roadster by now, notwithstanding the "black" issue. As it is, I'm not interested even though I'd love ABS.

Yeah thats it mate foot position would be great if it was adjustable . I think the roadster position would actually suit me as im always moving up on the bike when im gassing it through the twisties
