I want a Custom Exhaust for my Rocket

Just purchased the ces racing pipe, 1200 and change for just a header pipe in 1 3/4, which will use any stock mufflers, tor's , d and d , etc. good people to do business with too. Complete system with muffler in a 2 1/4 pipe is around 1700 american shipped

I've been running a full CES system for a while now and very satisfied with it

I was going to get the 1 3/4 manifold and keep my d and d muffler, or the triple tor's but they are getting more hp out of a otherwise stock motor with the 2 1//4 set with their muffler, and the larger pipe will support aftermarket cams better. Like to see how this exhaust will work with a carpentered motor. Sure would be nice to have all that carpenter power lower in the rev's and relatively quit package.

Ok...don't know what happened to my last post bit here we go again...Steel and I took a trip to Dallas to a tuner...maybe not the best...maybe not the worst...but at the end of the day we were running basically the same machine. He wound up ~ 5 HP higher than I did, but his HP was high in the RPM range and mine was lower...from which I drew the following conclusion...if you want to hit your power band high (read 1/4 mile track) you need carpenter. If you want your power band lower...call CES. The thread is on here somewhere where we posted Dyno results. Nothing against either manufacturer...as they will both make power...depends on what you are looking for. BTW...no matter who you talk to and eventually buy from...please forget that D&D exists. Both companies are died in the wool performance companies...sticking some generic slip on onto a custom performance exhaust system is like putting a potato sack on a hot girl...she can still perform but she looks like $hit. For my money on the street...CES is the best game in town. Whatever you choose either system will take your machine to an entirely different level. I know there are other systems out there, as a matter of fact I am about to install a set of Rebands on my second Rocket, but for my money it's either Carpenter or CES

The only thing I see that the CES and maybe Rebands eliminate is the possibility of the standard TTS blower kit as I think the front pipe will interfere with the intake charge pipe. Of course this will not be a problem if you go with the intercooler Kit :) I am satisfied with the Carpenter pipe Old style I did get some custom heat shield made up I think all three pipes could use some work in the heat shield department so I rate that area the same on all three!!!! I suppose I could get used to the new style but it would take more extensive heat shield work do to the spaghetti #3 header pipe.

I think the CES header (large diameter) does allow for a larger variety of pipe looks but I would still want heat shields for it. But that is just me being particular. And I would like to see a three megaphone set up :D

Recieved my pipe from ces this week, pretty fast shipping. In the emails sent to me included a picture of a bike that used a stock heat shield off a late model duel exhaust model. Covers the joint between muffler and header pipe. Really looked good , like it belonged there. Anybody know who's bike that is?? Anyway my bike has the triple mufflers, and the same cover( between the muffler and header pipe) looks like a good fit to cover the collector rearward to the oxygen senser, if you install this cover upside down on the header. You end up with coverage from midpoint on the header all the way to the muffler with chrome heat shields. Looks good on the bench, we will see how it looks on the bike
