Hunting for a bike lift that works

I've been in touch with their US distributor. $685 for the lift. If you want to do it alone, you need the front wheel "Grabber" ($160) to hold the bike upright before setting the lift under it. Then $20 for the R3 adapters + shipping and handling = $965.00
Pretty stiff!...It does look good, however. I'm just not sure I do enough of my own maintenance to justify that kind of money.

Yep they are a tad pricey and if I could of had a good look at one before I bought it I could of made one. In saying that I have so many other things on the go at the mo I doubt I would of got around to it by now :( but still a bloody good piece of kit and well worth the $$ IMO

I ordered one with the "grabber" front wheel piece. The thing about this I do like so much, is the onubstructed access to the underside of the bike. All of the sissor type lifts are a PIA to get the acces you want!

thanks for the specs rocket scientist

now i have another project to build out in the shop. thanks for coming up with the specs and illustrations so i can build an adapter for the rocket.

Glad I could help. As for you mister, you got a bunch of us excited with the headlight mod and then stopped right before the happy ending (pictures man, PICTURES) ;)

Also from Harbor Freight.

Table lift purchased for $299 using a coupon found in any Cycle World or Rider magazine.

The chock also has a coupon that varies from $24 to $29. Just mount the chock on the front of the table.

Harbor Freight rocks.....

Yeh, I bought the Harbor Frieght lift...works OK. I would have liked a pro model with the air-hydraulic ram,,,,,but I'm not gonna use it that much and this one gets the job done. I did however find that a jack was needed on the lift itself for tire, brake, suspension work. I ended up with the Black Widow scissor lift from Rage powersports. It was a bit pricey compared to the harbor freight lift but has proven itself. I don't think I could have removed the rear tire/wheel without the scissor lift because the access door in the lift tray just was not big enough.

intakes?

I've never used a jack on the Rocket interesting what you come up with. I have a Pitbull Jack that i use on the Harley and Busa but not the Rocket. This photo might help you find the balancing point.

Trick, where did you find the triple intakes for the rocket? Those are great!
