how do you level fog lights?

Several of you have commented caution about my 90W/130W main headlight, and I'll darned if you're right. I looked today, and sure enough, the plastic reflector inside the headlight shell has started to discolor.

Fooey. Will now be looking at the JW Speaker light.

I had the same thing happen to my reflector on my America when I installed a 100 watt bulb. It started to turn black above the bulb. I was able to tape a couple of "Q" tips together, apply some alcohol to one and after removing the bulb, clean the blemish completely.

Here are a couple of pictures of the latest generation of replacement LED bulbs. These are direct replacements for Halogen bulbs and put the light on the road like the Halogens only more of it. Note the design and layout of the LEDs compared to the filament on a Halogen.

I have tried bulbs like that and they are VERY hit and miss. In my Land Rover they were USELESS. So at a mates workshop we tried them in every H4 lit bike he had in - a good 15. There seems to be no middle ground. They either produce a shedload of scatter with poor riding beam or are OUTSTANDING. The Best result was a 1976 Moto-Guzzi V1000Convert with original CEV light (we had to use a P45-P43 adapter ring) . This ring moved the bulb base rearwards by about 0.5mm and this is a contributing factor.

Paul if you ride at night - get the adaptive. Yes it's expensive. But once you've taken some curves at night you will wonder why nobody thought of it before.
If you do not ride at night - get a Truck-Lite Phase 7. I have a Truck-lite in my old Guzzi. Gives a better light pattern (imo) than non-adaptive Speakers and Daymakers.
I would STRONGLY suggest you swap out the "T" auxiliary lights to match.

If we all pressure Mr @1olbull maybe he'll do the lights tests already.

What LED did you fit into the driving lights? - Are they "projector" (i.e. JW-Speaker) or "reflector" (i.e. Truck-lite) type?.
I fitted Speaker 6150's when I had the plain old ordinary JW-Speakers in. tbh now unnecessary with the two adaptive.
But my God! - do cars move out of the way. My neighbour has suggested a new horn sound.
