Here Comes the Beaver

Well my PC8 & the headlight wiring arrived, now fitted & tested but need to tidy up the wiring. Also fitted some LED parking lights, a lot better they are but in honesty I cannot see a great difference in brightness from the headlights, still only just tested them in the garage to make sure all was still working, so will reserve judgement until night ride proves it one way or other. Fitted the harness with the cut off so lights not on during start up, hope to get better starting, we'll see!

like I said brightness will depend on how many miles and how much your ign switch had deteriorated to use an example a bike that spends a lot of time in heavy stop start traffic will have a big er chance of the ign switch failing than a bike that is constantly on the move, if you look at the guys that have had switch go fairly early most live in the city.
It is with out a doubt the Single Most Important Mod that a Rocket owner should undertake

Cheers Hanso, I feel better now, not sure if you have filled me with confidence or is it just that you now have a vagina that's exited me.

Well it took 15 days air mail from Japan to Oz bloody Aust Post and Customs I suppose, but the EB kit arrived.. nice workmanship.

Anyway will give it a shot on Sat my only day off this week, I just had a thought  if his company name is what I think.. I now have 2 Eastern Beavers

Steady there!!!!! I might get called a C##t but I sure as hell don't have one:eek::D

Hell Hanso I would never call you that, I think I was just feeling a little jealous that you had one all to yourself.:):)
BTW Although now got this problem with speedo, the engine start is definitely better with the lights off.

The Beaver is Aboard

I just finished the final button up on the EB Kit. What a difference in illumination and the install was a breeze. I even kept my parking lights using a signal stock plug. After cutting both parking lights from the stock looms, I ran heat shrinked jumper wires to both headlight shells and connected the lights with bullet connectors, worked great. A couple of photo's are attached. While I was under there I also changed out the spark plugs which were way over due. The bike is running great and I am waiting for a night above 30 degrees to try out the new brightness. I should have done this mod long ago........

Hi Britman, glad your happy with your lights & not incurred problems like I did, but easily sorted. I also kept the small parking lights but replaced the bulbs with LED's, makes a real difference too for next to no cost. If you would like some here's a link. Link Removed BTW, how come you have no rusting inside your headlamp bowls, mine were full of it, had to clean them up & spray with anti-rust, still it's an excuse to buy some C.F. ones.:D

Probably due to Virginia being a lot dryer than the west side of the UK :D, I moved to the south west 5 years ago and it sure is wetter than the east .
