HELP, Mystery object, where the F does it go.+ Need Photo of Inside hand controls2007 CLASSIC

Can someone tell me where this bit goes,
It is somewhere up front.
The bike has been stripped down for a couple of years and for the life of me can't remember where it goes.

Also would anyone be willing to take a photo of the inside of their hand controls showing the wiring routing.
I fitted T bars so had to extend the wiring,
I can't find the pic I took when disassembling after an accident.

I would say this could make an epic thread...picking obscure bits and seeing who knows what they are, but I have a feeling warp and a few others would walk away with the most points by far!

My memory is not what it used to be. I think its a age thing. Anyway as long as we have youngsters to take over I'm fine with that.
