HELP!!! Backfire, pop, cut out HELP NEEDED!

Dont give up on your PCV but I would think about adding the Auto Tune.
I have a set of the Headers, etc the same as Mitch has and have TuneECU tune as base map but found that I used to get some small backfires at low throttle before engine used to get up to temp and that has been solved by the Auto Tune

I havent had any issues with popping or anything with mine but i would definitely consider adding the autotune if any of those symptoms emerge at anytime.
so far she has been running sweet though .
Im assuming if the pcv already is mapped if i do add the auto tune i just plug a sensor into my headers and the unit plugs straight into the pcv and away i go?
is that all it involves?

Thanks Hanso i think ill leave the map as is though only because im really happy with it and the way its running but i think i may look at getting the autotune after all if its an easy install.
Like you said ill never have to visit the dyno again and atleast i know it will keep everything in check nomatter where i ride and if i ever do make any minor alterations it will sort itself out.

Your PCV map you sent me before has fairly tame AFR tables and I am just tweeking it a little to release a bit of animal in it

Hanso, would you send me the AFR's you are most pleased with when your done tweaking them to your liking and I will compare them to the ones I have. My email is
EWS@DynamicAccents.com Thanks.

Power cutting out? I had the same problem on my 2010 R3R. For me, the screws were not holding the battery terminals tight enough after I added my PCV. Take the screws etc from the battery terminals and go to a hardware store. The factory ones are not long enough. I had to get new screws and bolts and retighten those connections. Haven't had a problem since. Try that.

No probs!! Like wise I would be interested to see what you have, alway keep an open mind try other and You could be surprised the Good thing I like about the Auto tune is that each bike might be different and it will adjust correctly while a TuneBoy, TuneECU or just a straight DynoTune with a PCIII would only really 100% suit the bike it was done on originaly where as the Auto Tune works of the Target AFR's so it will compinsate for any differences, take for instance when Mitch had his bike Dyno'd He sent the tune to me and I didn't get the same improvements :D I love the Atuo Tune.
My e-mail is hans_ann@bigpond.net.au

Thats because the Auto tune cant fix your red paint Hanso :D
but no seriously every bike is different and im happy with the 150 hp and 157 ft lbs :D
works a treat in my machine as thats the bike it was made for .
In any other bike its no different to having a canned tune.

Read it properly! I said that was before I got the PCV with Auto Tune the base TuneECU map is exactly the same as I was and am still running which is the Tors map but I am running the higher Rev limit version. Have you looked at the PCV AFR Tables your set up in your bike they are actually quite Mild and relies on the trimtables to work the rest out where the Auto Tune does it own triming 192 times a minute:D
