Supercharged
I use the GoPro HD (1080P) for most of my on-the-move-recording. Its video quality can't be beaten (used by pretty much all the tv production companies for action filming). The sound isn't so brilliant, plus you have to press a button on the unit to turn on and record. The unit is boxy but small and you even mount it on your helmet.
I have added a Drift HD170 (1080p) unit this week. It is a larger unit but unlike the GoPro, you can add an exterior microphone and (the reason why I got it) it has a remote control to start and stop recording. The unit is much larger compared to the GoPro so wouldn't want it on my helmet.
