I don't think the kit includes the different heat shields. Pretty funny (cheap) that you have to reuse one of the old worn rubber footpeg strips on the new kit. Penny wise and pound foolish.
Ahh ok thanks. I must say the forward pegs are super comfortable, but coming from a mostly sport-bike past they seem a bit weird. I think I'll keep them as-is and see if I get used to them.

You might want to hang on to them in case you decide to sell the bike. You seem to be one of the few to go that route (an R with forwards). I see a lot prefer the mids to the point of buying an R over a GT and adding the other things like the heated grips and backrest to it. But we are all different. I never got used to bringing my legs forward when taking off and the potholes were killing my backside.
