Has anybody had a chance to try a set of Kuryakyn Gran Throwover Bags. I only do a couple trips a year where I need saddle bags and was intrigued by the claim that these bags didn't require any supports. Any info, good or bad would be helpfull.
Don't know about the saddle bags, I would see what they have in place to keep them from scratching the sides of your fender. I just bought the Ultra Tour Bag, and although it's made in China, it seems to be of good quality. The D rings are made of metal, where as most bags I looked at are plastic. The zippers look to be quality also.
They say that there is little elastic pockets for the D rings to stow into when not in use and i figure a little neoprene pad should keep the bags for rubbing the paint.
Well I went ahead and got a pair of the saddle bags and they seem pretty well bilt. As I suspected though, I'll have to pick up some neoprene for the back side of them. I'm also looking into locking options just to keep the opertunists out there honest.

He was a boxer that a friend of mine picked up cheap because of his face. I believe the dog is dead now because he was fading fast when I last saw him about 3 years ago. He was actually put in a divorce decree as a piece of property, what a joke. Anyways, that was a great dog with a lot of heart and even though he wasn't my dog I still kinda miss him.
