Saddlebags, anyone used these ?

The only thing I can comment is they look BIG - that is front->back.

To get leg clearance to the rear pegs you might end up having them sticking out the back a bit. That or relocate the missus footrests forward.

I already have the rear board forward extenders. I can also mount the bags lower as my exhaust runs parallel to the swing arm instead of angling up. I think I'm gonna give them a try. A set of pretty beat up Beetle bags just sold for $750.00 on eat-me-bay. They are just to damm expensive.

I had the Strong bags on my 05. i also bought the racks for the lids and the side rails. Excellent quality and price. I ran a flatstrap of aluminum across the bottom of the bags 1" x 1/4" to brace them. There was just enough room to clear the tire.

Would you have a picture of that bike with all the dress up goodies on the bags ?

Yes Jumbo's. Replaced output shaft the same time as you did. I sold it and replaced with a 14 Touring. Still miss it though, but really enjoy the touring. The Jumbo saddlebags are very similar to the Valkyrie bags in size and shape. Good luck.
