GIPro ATRE Gearshift Indicator Questions

Thanks everyone for the opinions and information. The Tune ECU sounds like the way to go, but I'm concerned about my warranty with Triumph. I don't want to give them any excuse to turn down a claim, especially since I have a 6 year warranty. I've already figured out a neat way to mount the GIPro so it will look like it belongs. I think I will start with that first. Just a little more of a tweak at this stage will be good. FYI....I also got a reply back for the company and they assured me it would also work.

I got a short ride in today with it being dry and 53 degrees today here in Michigan. The roads were dry and no salt residue. Way more fun than one old man deserves. Well I'm off to post some new fairing pictures on a Corbin fairing review I posted. Ride Safe! Bedifferent!

I remember a few years back this little device was all the rage, me personally cannot understand it when you are riding I hope that you know what gear you are in at all times? Like asking a soldier how many bullets he has left.

I know what you are thinking did he fire six shots or only five
do you feel lucky Punk
Even dirty Harry can forget
there would not be many riders on the planet who haven't gone for another gear and are already in 4th/5th/6th gear depending on the gearbox
I have only been riding 49 years so I am still learning and like my GPI

I hear ya Ken....the problem for me is... it runs so easy and quiet in 4th I forget I never went into 5th. How dumb is that on my part. If I'm not counting, then I have to check and make sure I made it to 5th. In the absence of a Tach I guess it's going to be the GIPro. I miss the tachometer option I added to my Harley.

I am glad I am not the only one who has charged down the highway at 110kph and thinking how silently the Rocket cruises even with the TORs, and slipped the toe under the change lever and found I was in 4th gear
,it is also easier to pick neutral with the big 0 on the GPI

So fit a tach - probably as cheap or cheaper.

This will do me I don't want a boy racer Taco stuck on the clean lines of my Touring ,

I've had one on my '09 Standard for years. Can't think of any reason it wouldn't work on a Touring. It connects in to the wiring from the GPS. Derestricts the bike and shows me what gear I'm in. One of the simplest and most useful mods you can do to a non-Roadster.

they make one for the roadster too brin has one on his

Pretty sure his was the same as mine and I recall it had messed with his stock gear indicator ie making it always show 4th/5th - maybe; could be wrong. The ATRE should de-restrict any restricted bike though.
