Since I have gotten my rocket, I have a strong gas smell in my garage. Anyone else have this? I've "sniffed" all around the bike, but not found anything; no visible leaks, no puddles, everything seems tightly fitted.

Any ideas?

Cucumbers and green peppers do it for me. I also try to keep my broccoli intake to a minimum. But as often as I tell myself it's not going to be pretty, I can't stay away from the Chinese buffets.

The tank overflow tube? Stick a stopper in it for a couple overnighters. And don't light a match. Do you have a particularly warm garage? Do you park it with a full tank or does it have a lot of room for vapors to rise in it. I believe the California models have a special filter to eliminate or minimize the vapors from escaping.

Well, it depends on when I fill her up, lol. Its usually closer to full than anything, and never below half, but there would be room for vapors. And yes, the garage is pretty warm in the afternoons...gets full sun on that side of the house. I've had other bikes in there, but never had this problem before. Do you think the vapors are coming out of the overflow tube? If so, there's not much I can do about it, right?

I have a slightly used charcoal canister, fits nicely under the right side cover. I was going to take it to ES for a weinie roast but would trade for a pizza any time.

No wonder you are taking your trailer. I bet you are packing like Lucy and Desi did in Arizona Vacation......

It's the vent line for the fuel tank. If mine is over 3/4 full, it will stink a bit if parked in a warm garage. If I fill it up and park in right away, it will pee a bit on the pavement if I leave it parked in the sun....just like a potato bike marks it's spot but mine is fuel, the potato is oil.

How does it mount and how much?

It's the crap that comes on the California bikes, about 8 pounds of stuff, a maze of hoses, a couple wires, and i make it imposible to mout a stebil air horn under the cover. How it ended up in Michigan I ain't got a clue. Seem to run fine without it.... I really don't think you wnat it anyway.. but its yours for freight
