Finally!

Thank you all for the kind thoughts.

Yeah, unfortunately it was an 8 hour drive from Clovis, NM to Fort Worth, TX to get the bike. Middle of the week, so there was no one available to head out there with me. She had to be trailer-ed, but i plan on making it up to her.

I already ordered a Cee-Devil 8" screen from Cee-Baileys in bronze color. FYI for those interested, their bronze 8"+ Cee-Devils and 6"+ flats are on sale right now. I got mine for $50, i think the flats are $30.

No luck on the Jardines and the Zards are just too much to justify, I am looking at the Carpenter Racing megaphone. I figure ill do the un-polished and save a couple hundred, wrap them in black heat tape. I spoke to them today and they said that they do indeed fit underneath the bag on the right side. I'd prefer a 3 into 2, but a 3 into 1 is fine. I just know i wanted a full system, which the D&Ds don't provide.

So the "tentative" plan now is Carpenter racing full exhaust, wrapped. Triple exposed air filter. And tuneECU reprogramming. I need to do more searching on the filter set up, if you have ideas feel free to chime in, pics are great!

I also discovered that apparently the right bar end is a throttle lock (factory?), so cruise, although still desired, is on the back burner for now.

Still need to get a hitch, i'll check out Bushtec. I already have a pretty sweet trailer.

Flatbed trailer with an old whiskey barrel mounted on its side. Hinges up from the rear.
That's up in Yosemite last year, behind my last ride. 2000 Yam Royal Star Venture

Not the 'toothbrush, clean t-shirt and jocks' type of traveller obviously .. oh yeh Welcome from another of the Aussies.

Thats NO EXCUSE ,, you could of hitchhiked up there and rode it back , or caught a bus even .

Regards the , exhaust , i find the Tors gave me a bit more oomph , and a nice rumble without being over the top , good on a long journey , and after all you did buy the tourer so miles is what i gather you will be doing , you can hear them if you crack it open but not over the top , I've got to admit i do like the jardines i've heard on other rockets , but i would'nt want to listen to them for a thousand klm's . I think i would have to buy a classic for my second bike , and put jardines on that

for intake I like the ramair filter ..

Not factory, but apparently the previous owner must have installed. So far I just use a throttle rocker, personally.
