Exhaust setup and tune questions

sorry about that Richard didn't know you were hush hush with it for now

No worries; just didn't want to appear like I was gloating. But I have to say I'm real happy to have it.

I'd be prepared to give that intake set-up a go .. if only to avoid replacing all the stock intake plumbing. Got to do something to get rid of that ticking racket .. i used to love the sound of my bike

Ticking? Mine doesn't tick; just sounds like a jet engine when I open up the throttle. Is it possible the noise you have isn't due to the filters at all? Anyway, I'll be trying the intake as soon as I get the necessary mounting rubbers sorted and will let you know. There's a guy who comes into Joe's who saw it the other day and is very interested in having a go at making another. I'll keep you posted where that goes.

Noise arrived the same time as the pods were fitted , pretty sure they are the cause mate. Perhaps 'ticking' ain't the best description. But i woudn't be flying on any jet that was making this noise

Haven't ridden mine with a half helmet yet, so maybe I'm missing it with the full helmet on, but the only new sounds I've heard are music to my ears
I haven't gotten a cricket noise, though I've seen in past threads that many did. But I do get that deep throaty intake gargle and it's at it's strongest between 2-3000 rpm.
If there's an annoying sound and I haven't noticed it yet, not sure I want too...In this case Ignorance really IS bliss!!

We should have swapped bikes at Nabiac to see if there was a difference. If not, maybe it's a noise that only young people can hear.....
